Syrian Refugees Shelter in the Roman Tombs


Many Syrians instead of fleeing to another country have found their refuge in underground shelters and ancient buildings. Medieval buildings have thick stone walls and stood for many centuries. Typically, they are located in strategic locations with views of the city and the road. The worst thing for the majority of the Syrians is the lack of electricity and running water.
