Decade Long Freight Train Journey by Mike Brodie

Mike Brodie spent 10 years train hopping and hitchhiking throughout the United States. Along the way, he documented the lifestyle of him and his friends through photography, and has since compiled some of those images into a book entitled “A Period of Juvenile Prosperity .” His fascinating photos make up one of the few, true collections of American travel photography.

At the age of 27, Brodie is now a car mechanic and says he will not photograph again until he makes a life for himself. An exhibition of Brodie’s work is at the Yossi Milo Gallery, New York, until April 6.
