La Roque-Gageac - a village located in the region of Aquitaine. The village belongs to the association of the most beautiful villages in France. La Roque-Gageac located along the Dordogne River, 8 km south-west of Sarlat-la-Canéda. People came here in prehistoric times.
In the Middle Ages in La Roque Gageac had 1,500 inhabitants. At the time, lived mainly fishermen. This village is surrounded by a circular tower Tarde family homestead.
