Benjamin Verdonck is a visual artist based in Antwerp who has created the large treehouse to meet the needs of TRACK, Ghent city art project that is interactive and public. The treehouse is known as Vogelenzangpark 17bis, created just a couple of meters from a clubhouse for senior citizens. It was designed to simulate the buildings around the area, featuring architecture of the 1950s.
It is a perfect fit and nestled above the ground on tree branches and while it is a little bit small for individuals to fit in it, the building gives one the desire to just leave for a spot able to let him or her to just reflect.
